An LGBTQ+ allyship training that unlocks empathy and inclusivity towards the community.
TIME | 60 – 90 minutes
WHO | All Levels
STAGE 2 | Stakeholder Requirements
STAGE 3 | Organisational Performance

What is Gender & Sexuality?
This is the study of how gender and LGBTQ+ identities, roles, and experiences are shaped by biological, cultural, historical, and psychological factors across different societies.
Gender & Sexuality
Learn to differentiate between topics of gender and sexuality, and why generations have different understandings.
Allyship
Learn about discrimination against LGBTQ+ persons, and what acceptance and support looks like. Practice fluency with how to respectfully address exclusionary behaviours at your workplace.
Biases & Stereotypes
The definitions of gender and sexuality is changing rapidly. We hold on to stereotypes due to a lack of exposure to emerging cultural norms, and unconscious biases with different values. Discover how they surface at the workplace.
Team-Building
This training is generous with interactive activities! Practice with realistic workplace scenarios and come with the questions you hesitate to ask your LGBTQ+ colleagues.
Enable your Organisation to effectively support their LBGTQ+ colleagues and communities.
This workshop is developed for Asian workplaces, where LGBTQ+ issues are treated with a “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” approach. It is sensitively conducted to hold space for different opinions.
CUSTOMISE THE TRAINING
The tone of delivery can be tailored to organisational culture – whether it is a light-hearted team-building activity or a training requiring a more delicate approach. We will use a survey to gather anonymous questions prior to the training.
EXPERT-LED TRAINING
This training is run by Rain Khoo, who is an LGBTQ+ advocate, with an approach of respectful advocacy.
Instructional methods used include games, role-playing, group exercises and discursive discussion.
HYBRID DELIVERY
We conduct both in-person and online trainings. A training size of about 25 participants is recommended.
Hybrid workshops can be arranged at an additional charge for technical training support.
Training Outcomes
Build Empathy and Understanding:
Provide employees with the knowledge and tools to reduce potential LGBTQ+ discrimination to create a respectful work environment.
Mitigate Potential Discrimination:
The training encourages open dialogue, reduces biases and misconceptions, and empowers employees to work harmoniously.
A Safer Workplace:
Having your organisation support such a training provides a sense of validation and support for your LGBTQ+ employees, helping to ease their fear of coming out to their colleagues. Ultimately, this contributes to a workplace where every employee can thrive, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
